Dear St. Mary’s Friends in Christ:

    “THANK GOD THROUGH YOUR CHURCH” is the theme of St. Mary’s Pledge campaign this year. Everything we have God has given us. Giving is living. When we give, we come alive. As we give our best, we live our best. The purpose of life is giving love and help to others. St. Mary’s plays a strong role in our community by giving to those in need. We need your support so St. Mary’s can continue it’s ministry to our community.

    St. Mary’s Pledge Campaign will begin September 27, 2009 and continue for eight weeks. As we did last year, our goal is based on the number of people or families who pledge. Our goal last year was 60 and we received 58.  Close but we hope to improve and reach our goal of 80 this year. Last year we had a total of $93,000 pledged and our hope is to reach $120,000 this year. The main reason St. Mary’s continues to be strong is because you have grown in your generosity of giving.

    “THROUGH STEWARDSHIP WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE” is the motto our pledge campaign this year. When we give we are investing our money on behalf of God’s mission. This is an investment for our families, our community, our country, and the world. This is one of the ways we are judged by our neighbors and by God.

     The Stewardship Committee was surprised and quite pleased with your response to the pledge campaign last year. The committee members this year are Frances Cook, Bill Parker, J. B. Waltermire and Ralph Johnson. We are also experiencing an exceptional commitment of parishioners to their pledge. Though the economy is weak you have kept your pledge to St. Mary’s. We thank you and hope you will be able to increase your pledge by one or two per cent annually.

     Please take your time and consider what investment you can make in St. Mary’s. The Stewardship Committee is always available for your questions or comments.
